Who has the best rates when shipping a box internationally?

I want to ship a box to Italy to save room in my suitcase.. Im headed over for about 7 months so I have a lot to take...Does anyone know which company has the best rates for Iternational shipping?

1. Is good you are planning ahead. The several I have tried still charged me about 130 dollar for a 30 pound box. In that case it might have been cheaper to declare extra baggage at the airport and pay about 100 for a 50 pound bag. If you find a good source please let the rest of us know.
2. I really dont know about cheapest, but I have never had any problems with UPS.
3. see if u declare excess baggage at the airport...they charge u like crazy...trust me..i have seen it..still u can check around... we are a shipping company and we charge $4 per pound for any thing more than 10 lbs and less than 100 lbs...over 100 lbs its gonna be ab $3050 per pound...and just for ur info we use fedex and dhl...wna knw anythng more..just ask..
